Quebec’s regional Youth Forums

There’s a Youth Forum in each administrative region of Quebec as well as in the Cree and Inuit Nations.

Regional Youth Forum’s mandates :

• To encourage youth’s representation in regions;
• To encourage and maintain a dialogue between youth’s representatives and local and regional partners;
• To advise on youth related matters;
• To promote youth involvement in local and regional levels and to coordinate the citizenship participation agents actions;
• To financially support youth mobilizing initiatives as well as local and regional projects by using the Fonds régional d'investissement jeunesse (FRIJ).

The two main goals of the regional youth forums are to encourage youth’s social participation in their region and consequently let them be real actors of the local and regional development of their community.

Table de concertation de forums jeunesse régionaux du Québec

b)      to promote the Youth Forums, their actions, interests and common preoccupations as well as their collective orientations in regards to youth issues and regional development;

c)      to represent the youth forums’ actions, interests and common preoccupations in regards to youth and regional development.
